The Suraj Kund meaning the Sun lake is a beautiful complex built by the Rajput king Surajpal Tomar. The Lake is surrounded by rock cut steps and represents the rising Sun. The pool of fresh water is said to have healing properties.
Every year there is a fair held in the complex of Suraj Kund. This annual event is handicrafts fair where craftsmen from all over India come to participate.
