Architectural Heritage Tour of Rajasthan (16 Days / 15 Nights)

Day 2: Delhi

Full Day Delhi sightseeing. Visit the famous Mahatama Gandhi mausoleum, Jama Masjid and Red Fort. Enjoy a tricycle tour of Chandni Chowk. Drive past President's House, Parliament House, India Gate war memorial, Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb.

Day 3: Delhi - Mandawa

Morning drive to Mandawa followed by an afternoon half day local tour of the painted havelis of the city.

Day 4: Mandawa - Khimsar
Wednesday, April 24, 2024 - Thursday, April 25, 2024

Visit the Saraf haveli famous for its scenes of erotica, Ladia Haveli for its mirror work and Ludlow castle for its murals. Afternoon drive to Khimsar. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Khimsar - Manvar

Jeep safari of Khimsar sand dunes sheltering the rare black buck. Afternoon drive to Manvar followed by an enjoyable camel safari of the Manvar desert.

Day 6: Manvar - Rohet

Morning drive to Rohetgarh en route visiting the city of Jodhpur, famous for its impregnable Mehrangarh Fort. Later visit Jaswant Thada, a collection of royal cenotaphs built in white marble.

Day 7: Rohet - Deogarh

Morning Jeep safari to Bishnoi Village followed by drive to Deogarh, seat of Chundawat clan of Sisodia Rajputs. Later, expore the famous Deogarh castle in the evening.

Day 8: Deogarh - Udaipur - Dungarpur

Morning drive to Dungarpur en route visiting the majestic City Palace and Sahelion ki baari in Udaipur. Rest of the day free to explore in Dungarpur

Day 9: Dungarpur - Chittorgarh - Bijaipur

Morning proceed to Bijaipur. Enroute visit Chittorgarh fort.Upon arrival at Bijaipur, check-in at Hotel Castle Bijaipur.Bijaipur - Amid the serene Vindhyanchal ranges, Castle Bijaipur stands as a tradition in hospitality, pageantry and Rajput charm. Built in the 16th Century by Rao Shakti Singh Ji, the younger brother of the great patriot Maharana Pratap to defend the Mewar Empire from invasions from central India, the chevaliers of this strategic fort have fought many fierce battles of historical importance against the Mughals and the Marathas. The thirteenth descendant of this fort has opened it's doors to tourists. A wildlife Sanctuary is situated adjacent to the Castle, harbouring rare fauna including the Leopards, Chinkaras, Spotted Deer, Four Horned Deer, Crocodile, Wild Boar and a variety of birds.The 12th century Pangarh Fort overlooking the Lotus Lake spread out in 200 acres, is an amazing site to watch. It is 15 Km by jeep from the Castle. While Boating, if you are lucky you can see the tribals harpooning fish as done in ancient times. Overnight stay at hotel.

Morning Jeep safari to visit the sanctuary. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 11: Bijaipur - Bundi

Proceed to Bundi enroute visting Kota Fort. Explore the picturesque Bundi palace, Phool sagar palace, Sukh Mahal, Shikhar burj and Raniji ki baoli.

Day 12: Bundi - Ajmer - Pushkar

Morning drive to Pushkar en route visiting the sacred tomb of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer. Later, enjoy a sunset view of the Pushkar lake, a hub of religious activities and famous for its annual Pushkar Fair in October when thousands come to bathe in its holy water.

Morning proceed to Samode famous for its high quality frescoes in indigo colours and richly painted Durbar hall.

Morning half day tour of the world famous Taj Mahal. Later, arrive in Delhi to proceed to the airport to board your flight for onward destination.
